Description of Aquaculture

The health of our oceans is at stake. One hundred years ago, the stock of fish in the oceans was six times higher than it is today. As world population grows, there is more pressure on the ecosystem of the ocean to provide more food resources. In fact, one billion people in the world rely on fish for their daily source of protein. Overfishing has depleted stocks and has put many species in danger. Scientists predict that our oceans will be overfished by 2050, causing major environmental, medical and economic consequences.

But there is a solution... GFA and other fish farmers allows population centers access to fish without depleting natural ocean stocks. GFA uses a unique zero-discharge system which is completely sustainable, taking no resources from the environment and adding no pollutants back.
